Hero Points

Hero Points can be spent as a reaction by any player able to take an action at any time.

Using Hero Points

  • Reroll: Reroll before results are known, take better of 2 rolls min of 10.
  • Temporary Feat: Gain a feat you meet prereq. for one round.
  • Double Dodge: Double your Dodge bonus for a full round.
  • Instant Counter: Counter another power as a reaction.
  • Cancel Fatigue: Remove one level of fatigue.
  • Recover: Cancel stunned result; Recovery roll for damage as full round action.
  • Escape Death: Immediately stabilize.
  • Inspiration: Get a hint or lead from the GM.

  • Setbacks
  • Complications
  • Heroism
  • Role-playing
  • Stunts
  • Game Master Fiat

Countering Powers

Extra Effort

Anyone can include extra-effort with any action once per turn, after which they immediately gain one level of fatigue. With Extra Effort you can:

  • +2 to any single skill, ability, or power check.
  • +5 STR to carrying capacity for one turn.
  • x2 speed to any movement for a round.
  • +2 ranks to any power for one turn.
  • Gain a power stunt or feat for one round.
  • Get an immediate additional saving throw against a lasting effect.
  • Gain and additional Standard or Move Action.
